Ms. DeAngelis uses her experiences in the private and public sectors to help serve clients and advance their strategic initiatives.
Marisa Anne DeAngelis is a Special Assistant at Albright Stonebridge Group, a global strategy firm. In this capacity, she supports Principals Suzanne George and James O’Brien to facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders for clients around the world. Ms. DeAngelis supports the activities of the firm’s Chair, former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, including projects on behalf of clients, public speaking engagements, and Dr. Albright’s course at Georgetown University.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. DeAngelis was a summer researcher at the Geneva Graduate Institute and the World Trade Organization in Switzerland. While in Geneva, Ms. DeAngelis also worked on a project with the World Trade Center Geneva to improve client services through the launch of a new online platform.
Previously, Ms. DeAngelis interned at the Department of Commerce, supporting the Under Secretary for International Trade Administration. With a focus on emerging markets in Asia, Ms. DeAngelis played an active role in briefing the Under Secretary for international trips and meetings with foreign dignitaries. More broadly, her work focused on issues concerning trade promotion, commercial policy, market access and international competitiveness.
In 2011, Ms. DeAngelis earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, with a certificate from the Landegger International Business Diplomacy Honors Program. During this time, she studied abroad in China at Nanjing University and completed coursework at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center.
Ms. DeAngelis is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Italian, and is currently studying Indonesian.
