Ellen Zhu
Ellen Zhu is a Director of Research for the China office of Albright Stonebridge Group, a global strategy firm. Based in its Shanghai office, she is responsible for conducting and overseeing research projects for the Albright Stonebridge China Practice, from research plan design to implementation, input-gathering, analysis and report development.
Her work covers a wide range of sectors, including client-related projects, China’s general political and economic issues, industrial regulations and relevant market trends.
Ms. Zhu has a strong background in media, as well as in working with Fortune-500 companies. Prior to joining Albright Stonebridge, Ms. Zhu worked at the Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press, where she led research and news coverage initiatives throughout China.
During her tenure there, she covered a diverse range of sectors including manufacturing, banking, energy, auto industry, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare. Previously, she consulted for prominent Fortune-500 companies on market data trends within Chinese sectors and markets of fast-moving consumer goods.
She is a graduate of the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade, where she majored in International Trade. Ms. Zhu speaks Mandarin Chinese and English.
