Peter Wyman
Peter Wyman is a Senior Advisor of Albright Stonebridge Group, a global strategy firm, where he advises clients on Europe-related issues. Based in London, Mr. Wyman is a Director of Sir Richard Sutton’s Settled Estates and an Advisor to the Trustees of the Julian Vereker Estate, the majority shareholder in Naim Audio.
Previously, Mr. Wyman was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He spent more than 40 years with the company and its predecessor firms in positions including member of its Global Executive Board, Global Leader of Public Policy & Regulatory Matters, Head of External Relations and Head of Tax.
Mr. Wyman was President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales from 2002-2003, where he is currently a member of its Corporate Governance Committee.
Mr. Wyman is serving the UK government as Chairman of the Financial Reporting Advisory Board Review Group. He also served during the Government of John Major as the Special Advisor on Deregulation and Taxation to the Under Secretary of State for Corporate Affairs, a member of the Deregulation Task Force, and external overseer of the Inland Revenue/Contributions Agency Joint Working Programme.
Mr. Wyman is a Trustee of the Hestercombe Gardens Trust, a member of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Royal Society for the Arts, Manufactures and Science (RSA), Chairman of the Somerset Community Foundation, a Member of Council for the University of Bath, a Member of the Advisory Board of the BPP Business School, and a Member of Court for the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants.
He formerly served as a Member of the City of London Corporation’s EU Advisory Group, Chairman of the Common Content for Accountancy Qualifications Steering Group, Deputy Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council, Chairman of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies, and Chairman of the London Society of Chartered Accountants.
