Scott R. Bayman

Scott R. Bayman is a Senior Director of Albright Stonebridge Group, a global strategy firm, where he works with clients to successfully navigate political, regulatory and commercial challenges in India.

Previously, Mr. Bayman served as President and CEO of General Electric India from April 1993 to 2006. During his tenure, he led GE India through its transformation from a company with a turnover of $100 million into a global business with a turnover of nearly $3 billion and more than 13,000 employees.

He joined GE in 1987 as Manager of Business Development for GE Appliances in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Bayman served as Product General Manager for a range of products, and in 1991 he was elected to serve as a Vice President responsible for Appliances Consumer Service. He then went on to serve as Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Product Management, for GE Appliances.

Mr. Bayman’s previous work experience includes positions as a Management Consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton and Director of Corporate Strategic Planning for United Technologies Corporation. He has also worked for General Motors and AT&T in a number of positions.

Mr. Bayman has served as an Additional Director of Crompton Greaves Ltd. since March 2007. He has also served as an Independent Director of Punj Lloyd Ltd., on the International Advisory Board of the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Advanced Study of India, and is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Aspen India.

He is a former member of the Board of the U.S.-India Business Council and continues to serve as an advisor to its Executive Committee and the Board. Mr. Bayman is also a past Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce India.

Mr. Bayman earned an M.S. in Management from the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a Sloan Fellow. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
