Alan H. Fleischmann
Alan Fleischmann is a Principal of ASG, leveraging extensive experience at the intersection of the private sector, public sector, and civil society to advise corporations on their international business strategies. Mr. Fleischmann leads ASG's Latin America practice, and assist clients with business strategy, public positioning, message development, and reputation and crisis management.
Mr. Fleischmann has worked in domestic and global arenas with the leaders of Fortune 500 companies, public officials and international financial institutions.
He is also Co-Founder, Board Member, and Managing Director of ImagineNations Group, a partnership-based global network that provides young entrepreneurs in emerging and frontier markets with financial capital, technologies, business/leadership coaching and an on-line portal.
Mr. Fleischmann served on the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition team, overseeing the agency review team for international financial institutions and regional development banks. He is also a member of the Industry Trade Advisory Commission (ITAC), and is a Delegate to the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining Albright Stonebridge Group, he was chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Bank-ImagineNations Global Partnership for Youth Investment (GPYI) and served as Senior Vice President of Penn Schoen & Berland Associates (PSB Associates), the global strategic communications firm.
Previously, he served as Chief of Staff to Maryland’s Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend; as staff director of the U.S. Congress Committee on Foreign Affairs and its Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere; as Vice President of LATCORP (Latin American Trade Corporation), a private trade finance company; and as senior associate of JP Morgan Chase in the Americas, working across South America.
Mr. Fleischmann also served as a policy aide in the German parliament for German Chancellor Willy Brandt and his foundation for development and peace.
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), and the Robert F. Kennedy Leadership Council. He is a board member of the Atlantic Council, the Cal Ripken Foundation, the Initiative for Global Development (IGD) and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
Mr. Fleischmann earned his M.A. with honors from the Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), and received a B.A. and B.S. with honors from American University.
He speaks Spanish and German.
