Dan K. Rosenthal
Dan Rosenthal is a Principal of ASG and draws on diverse executive experience in government and business to help ASG clients build and preserve value in markets around the world. He heads the firm's North America practice, providing advice and assistance to clients on engagements focused on the U.S. and Canadian markets. Mr. Rosenthal also leads ASG's work related to Israel.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rosenthal oversaw international business development, strategic alliances, and corporate development activities for a leading information and communications technology company in California. In that capacity, he negotiated major partnerships agreements and was a key contributor to the management, growth, and strategic decisions of the company. He conceived of and oversaw the creation of new lines of business, and managed a team and portfolio of strategic alliances that generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues for the company.
In government, Mr. Rosenthal served on the White House senior staff from 1995 to 2000 with responsibility for the public affairs of the President. He oversaw the planning and execution of public and private diplomacy and events around the United States and the world, and was a key participant in White House strategic communications planning and crisis management. Mr. Rosenthal represented the United States in more than 50 foreign countries, leading presidential missions and negotiations with foreign governments. He was one of the youngest individuals ever commissioned as an Assistant to the President.
Prior to his service in the White House, Mr. Rosenthal held positions in the International Trade Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and in the Bureau for Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union at the U.S. Agency for International Development.
He is a veteran of numerous national and state-level political campaigns.
In 2013, Mr. Rosenthal was appointed to the U.S. Department of State’s Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy.
Mr. Rosenthal earned a J.D. with honors from Tulane University Law School and the Georgetown University Law Center.
