Press Release: ASG Welcomes Dr. Greg Koski and Dr. Makoto Tamura as Senior Advisors

Further expand capabilities in firm’s Health practice and on the ground in Japan

February 4, 2021 (Washington, D.C.) – Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), the premier global strategy and commercial diplomacy firm, is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Koski and Dr. Makoto Tamura have joined as Senior Advisors, bringing expanded expertise and on-the-ground insights to the firm’s Health and East Asia & Pacific practices.

Dr. Greg Koski draws on his background in clinical research systems and digital health to advise ASG Health clients as they plan, develop, and execute projects around the world. Dr. Koski has worked throughout his career to build innovative global systems for medical research, including as Director of the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and as Director of Human Research Affairs at Partners HealthCare. At OHRP, Dr. Koski created the office’s International Program and worked with governments and organizations worldwide to build effective and ethical systems for global human research. He is the founder and president of the Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety and has helped lead the health care industry’s transition to digital health, sitting on the board of the non-profit SAFE-BioPharma Association. Dr. Koski is a former associate professor at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Makoto Tamura, based in Tokyo, brings on-the-ground insight and a perspective honed across industry, government, and academia to help ASG clients navigate the Japanese market and health care sector. Before joining ASG Dr. Tamura led Japanese government affairs for two of the world’s leading multinational health care companies, serving as Vice President for Government Affairs at both Abbott Japan and Boston Scientific Japan. Between 2011 and 2017, he also served as an expert member of the Japanese Government Healthcare Reimbursement Council, the “Chuikyo.” Earlier in his career, Dr. Tamura was a professor on the medical faculty at the University of Tokyo and the International University of Health and Welfare. He has worked extensively with the American Chamber of Commerce Japan and American Medical Devices and Diagnostics Manufacturers’ Association.
