Anna Newby is a Senior Director at ASG, where she leads the firm’s communications and marketing strategies and initiatives.
Prior to joining ASG, Ms. Newby was the Communications Director and Managing Editor of the Foreign Policy Program at the Brookings Institution, where she led strategic communications, content development, digital marketing, and media relations for the program and its scholars. She was responsible for the design and execution of integrated multimedia campaigns and worked with Brookings Foreign Policy leadership on impact opportunities, strategic communications planning, and internal communications.
Previously, Ms. Newby was an editor with the World Bank’s Poverty Global Practice, a Yahoo! Junior Fellow at Georgetown University’s Institute for the Study of Diplomacy, Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, and an analyst at the Crumpton Group.
Ms. Newby received her M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and her B.A. from Brown University.
She is based in Washington D.C.
