Ashish K. Jha, MD

Ashish K. Jha, MD is a Senior Advisor with ASG's Global Health Solutions practice. A global leader in his field, he draws from a distinctive medical and scientific background to advise clients on healthcare systems and issues of public health around the world.

Dr. Jha is currently the Dean of the Brown University School of Public Health. He is also a practicing general internist. Previously, he was the K.T. Li Professor of Global Health at Harvard University and the Director of the Harvard Global Health Institute. Dr. Jha has published over 200 papers in leading scientific journals, focused largely on health system performance and the impact of policies. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Jha has been a leading expert voice throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, testifying before Congress and appearing with CNN, NPR, NBC, and other major news outlets to discuss the science behind public health policy and recovery. During his tenure as Director, Harvard’s Global Health Institute was responsible for some of the most-cited early projections of the pandemic’s course in the U.S.

Dr. Jha received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, and his M.P.H. from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He earned a B.A. from Columbia College.

Dr. Jha is based in Providence, Rhode Island.
