Ashlyn Anderson is an Analyst at ASG, where she helps clients develop sustainability and social impact strategies. She has supported clients in the development of sustainability commitments to increase climate finance, reduce plastic waste, and improve gender equality in the workplace. Ms. Anderson has also supported companies and nonprofits seeking to enter and grow their businesses in India.
Prior to joining ASG, Ms. Anderson was a Research Associate for India, Pakistan, and South Asia at the Council on Foreign Relations. In this role, she served as special rapporteur for the Council's 2015 Task Force on U.S.-India relations, contributed to a two-year project on the new geopolitics of Asia, and coordinated a series of events on U.S. relations with South Asia.
Previously, she interned with Indiana University’s Center on American and Global Security, where she tracked grants and researched security-related coursework, among other responsibilities. Additionally, Ms. Anderson has worked as a Government Affairs intern for Eli Lilly and Company, where she researched and developed fundraising and communications strategies.
She earned a B.A. in English with minors in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Indiana University. She completed her senior thesis on identity conflict during the partition of the Indian subcontinent and its depiction in South Asian literature.
Ms. Anderson is based in Washington, DC.
