George Papademetriou is an Associate in ASG’s Europe practice, where he supports Vice Chair James O’Brien and provides research and analysis for ASG clients.
Prior to joining ASG, Mr. Papademetriou worked as an intern at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, where he researched Turkish politics. Before that, he served as an intern at the Libra Group, an international management group, supporting the firm’s commercial and financial operations out of its London headquarters.
Mr. Papademetriou is a two-time recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s National Security Language Initiative scholarship. He also received several grants from Princeton to conduct research in Turkey’s state archives and interview policy experts in Turkey and Northern Greece.
Mr. Papademetriou received his B.A. with honors from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and holds undergraduate certificates in Hellenic Studies and Near Eastern Studies. He completed his senior thesis on Turkish foreign policy towards Cyprus. He speaks Greek and Turkish. Mr. Papademetriou is based in Washington, DC.
