Gilbert Mudge, MD

Gilbert H. Mudge, MD, is a Senior Advisor in the Health practice at ASG, where he brings decades of experience to help clients develop, build, and scale health care delivery programs in markets around the world.

Dr. Mudge joins ASG after a distinguished career as a senior cardiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and global health expert, with more than two decades of experience developing hospitals, clinical subspecialty programs, and health education programs across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

From 2011-2018, Dr. Mudge served as President and CEO of Partners Medical International, leading its global network of health care delivery programs and developing clinical programs around the world. Before that, he held numerous leadership roles at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston, including as Director of Clinical Cardiology, Director of Heart Transplantation, Director of Cardiovascular Fellowship Program, and Chairman of the BWH and Partners Graduate Medical Education Programs.

Dr. Mudge is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Emeritus, with more than 130 publications.

He graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and received a B.A. from Amherst College.
