Harry Hu, based in Beijing, is a Director in ASG’s China practice, where he advises clients on policy and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining ASG, Mr. Hu spent nearly ten years working at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC), a high-profile research institute and think tank affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM). In this role, he analyzed U.S.-China economic and trade relations and helped create a major government website tracking inbound and outbound investment activities and policy developments.
Most recently, Mr. Hu was an External Affairs Manager for Nissan (China) Investment Corp in Beijing, where he was responsible for developing Nissan’s strategy for new energy vehicles and relationship building with Chinese government and other stakeholders. Before that, he worked as a Policy Research Specialist at Yuan Associates, a Chinese consulting firm that advises multinational companies on understanding China’s political landscape and investment climate.
Mr. Hu also served as Third Secretary at the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom of Denmark.
Mr. Hu received a Master of International Trade from the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation and a Bachelor of International Trade from Jilin University of Technology.
