Juliana García, based in Bogotá, is a Senior Advisor at ASG, where she advises clients on business opportunities in Colombia and across Latin America. She brings extensive public and private sector experience in security, finance, and international affairs.
Ms. García served as Planning and Budgeting Director in Colombia’s Ministry of Defense, where she helped plan, execute, and monitor Colombia’s defense budget. She previously worked as the Ministry’s Public Security and Infrastructure Director, managing all issues related to the protection of Colombia’s critical infrastructure. Ms. García also served as Director of Security, Justice, and Government in the Department of Planning. In this role, she was responsible for all aspects of the Ministry’s policy programs and investments.
She currently serves as CEO and Managing Partner of Virtus Global, an advisory and consulting firm based in Colombia.
Ms. García holds an M.S. and a B.S. in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University.
