Nicholas Anstett is a Senior Director at Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), where he advises clients on nonmarket strategy and external engagement, and supports ASG’s management on areas of strategy, corporate development, and special projects.
Prior to joining ASG, Mr. Anstett spent five years at Longview Communications, Canada’s leading financial and transaction-related communications firm. As a Partner at Longview, Mr. Anstett advised on corporate affairs strategies for many of Canada’s highest-profile special situations, including: mergers, hostile takeovers, restructurings, proxy contests, and litigation proceedings. He led client engagements in the financial services, telecommunications, retail, entertainment, mining and energy sectors, and he worked on some of the country’s largest cross-border transactions, including the $15.8B acquisition of a Canadian energy company by a Chinese state-owned enterprise. Additionally, he led the firm’s pro-bono work assisting Canada’s leading corporate governance association to develop policy positions on activist investors, securities regulation, and reputation risk.
Mr. Anstett earned his M.B.A. from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford where he graduated with distinction and received the school’s top student award, the Saïd Prize, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and contribution to the wider community. He has an M.A. in International Communication, with a focus on public diplomacy, from Royal Roads in Victoria, Canada and a B.Sc. from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
