Rael Baird

Rael Baird is an Associate with ASG’s China practice, where he supports clients through research and project coordination.

Prior to joining ASG, Mr. Baird interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he conducted quantitative research and supported policy development for the AI and Emerging Technologies Working Group. While studying at Georgetown University, he worked as a research assistant at a security-focused think tank for two years.

Mr. Baird also interned with the Hinrich Foundation and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in Hong Kong, and on Capitol Hill in the Office of U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell.

Mr. Baird graduated from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service with a B.S. in Foreign Service and certificates in Asian Studies and International Business Diplomacy. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

He is based in Washington, D.C.
