Stephen Garrett is an Associate with the China practice at ASG. In this role, he assists clients through research and project coordination.
Prior to joining ASG, Mr. Garrett worked as an intern at the Asia Society Policy Institute, where he prepared briefings and reports on U.S.-Asia economic policy. Before that, he was an intern at the Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations, where he worked to research and write articles on Chinese current affairs for the ChinaFile magazine. Mr. Garrett has also worked with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration in Beijing.
Mr. Garrett received his B.S. with honors in Asia and Middle East Studies from Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. He speaks Chinese.
Mr. Garrett is based in Washington, DC.
