January 9, 2024 (Washington, D.C.) – Dentons Global Advisors-Albright Stonebridge Group, an elite multidisciplinary advisory firm, announces that Jonathan Kaplan has joined as Partner and will lead a new Education and Workforce practice, extending the firm’s work in this area. He will be based in the Washington, DC office.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience as an executive, investor, and consultant in global education, Mr. Kaplan strengthens the firm’s offering in areas ranging from workforce development to higher education to education technology. With the global education and training market set to reach $10 trillion in the next five years, AI transforming the sector in real time, and the massive workforce retaining and reskilling required for the energy transition, the need for strategic expertise has never been greater.

Jonathan Kaplan comes to the firm with decades of leadership experience in business, government, and education. Previously, Mr. Kaplan was the CEO of Laureate Education’s Online division that grew to be one of the largest online education platforms in the world, as well as President of Walden University. He was also the co-founder of Inspara Partners, which invested in and advised a variety of education ventures. During his government service, Mr. Kaplan served in the White House as special assistant to the president for economic policy and chief of staff of the National Economic Council under President Bill Clinton. He also held posts at the Department of the Treasury and on U.S. Senator John Kerry’s staff.
