The Challenge 

A major industry association approached ASG with initial plans to make an industry-wide commitment to reduce plastic use and waste, seeking to collaborate with environmental experts to appropriately inform and successfully implement this significant commitment.

The ASG Approach 

ASG evaluated the association’s strategy to reduce plastic use and waste against the expectations of environmental NGOs focused on plastic and the circular economy. We mapped and facilitated engagement with several NGOs, helping to frame priorities for both sides and to identify areas for potential collaboration. After these initial meetings, ASG shepherded the development and finalization of a multi-year partnership between the association and a leading international NGO. 

Results 

Our client successfully launched a partnership with a prominent environmental NGO to measure plastic use and waste, and to engage and align stakeholders throughout the plastic value chain.
