Richard Trutanic is a Senior Advisor of ASG, where he brings decades of senior investment experience to his work with clients around the world. Mr. Trutanic is also currently Chairman and CEO of Somerset & Company, a private investment and asset management firm focused on private equity and alternative investments for institutional and family office clients.
Previously, he was a Partner, Senior Managing Director, and member of the Board of Directors of Groupe Arnault S.A, a private investment holding company owning controlling interests in Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy and Christian Dior, and other enterprises in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Mr. Trutanic was also previously a Managing Director of the Carlyle Group, a leading global private equity investment firm. He serves as a member of the board of directors of several private companies. He is also a member of the advisory board of several institutional investment funds, and is a Trustee of the New York Life MainStay Funds.
He earned his graduate degrees in Business and Law from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford Law School.
